Max insists that it was a mutual crush, and they laugh about Rose going on a night hike with another guy. Max introduces Rose to Zoey and explains that he and Rose went to sleepaway camp together, and Rose playfully mentions that Max had a giant crush on her. Rose asks if anyone wants the stone, and Mo says yes and introduces himself. She explains how she ended up on the wrong highway and how a hippie gave her directions and a worry stone. Rose arrives at MaxiMo and apologizes profusely to Max for being late. Later, Rose sends Max a picture of a young Max from their camp days, jokingly saying that she can't believe she wanted to make out with this guy. Rose suggests that they hang out, and Max tells her to DM him on Instagram.
When Max says to have a nice trip back, Rose mentions that she's in San Francisco for a couple of months installing a show at SF MoMA. When a waiter comes by to collect payment for their meal, Max says it’s on the house. Max clarifies only in a skit about water safety, but Rose says that still counts and mentions that she tried to drown herself during color war so he’d give her mouth-to-mouth again. Rose mentions that she and Max went to camp together and that he was her first kiss ever. Max asks if that means she's been keeping tabs, too, and Rose quips that she prefers the term "stalking." Later, Max walks up to Rose's table and chats with her and her coworkers.
Rose mentions that she saw his post about the restaurant opening and was in town for work, so she decided to stop by. Rose flirtatiously asks if he's been keeping tabs, and Max mentions that he saw on Instagram. Max is surprised to see her and mentions that he thought she lived in New York. Rose gets Max's attention during the opening night of his restaurant, MaxiMo.
